You have always been there. When I was small you taught me how to eat sugar mice whilst they were still hanging on the Christmas tree and how to fire my catapult. As a teenager you taught me how to stun and spin a snooker ball and that the best cold cure is a neat rum followed by a walk on the beach. As an adult we shared adventures. We skied down a slope of virgin snow into the mid morning sunrise in Finland with temperatures at -33 before heading off on snowmobiles. I have calculated that we walked over 1000 miles together. Walks in baking sun through fields of wild flowers. Walks along Scottish Lochs in torrential rain (that lasted all day!) as we sang in Dutch. Walks in blizzards so fierce that we could not hear each other and had to dig into the snow to shelter. We then negotiated the white out. Walks to summits where the wind was so strong it lifted us off the ground. Afterwards we would have good food, good beer and laugh. Great times.
Thanks for teaching me so much. Thanks for so many good times.
